Complaint

Bought tires at dobbs shilo ILlocation..78000 miles on 016 ford fusion ...had accident at 88000 miles due to rear break failure and dobbs same location replaced rear brakes n rotors ..took forever ...went in same location today to get front brakes n rotors ..98000 plus on car ...told me 10 am come up ...went there n waited 5 n half hours ...turns out they have shuttle service ...found at when pulling car out of bay ..and turns out brakes are ok on front at 98000 miles ..and said charge was 49.95 for balence n rotation but he waved it ...not that its covered with buying tires there n was 10000 miles since last visit ...but he waved fee ...unacceptable ...I wait in customer lounge all day ...they do antifreeze exchange n oil changes. Other side of glass ...reved 18 of 30 cars so high for no reason what so ever ..I do not beleive or trust dobbs service wharsoever any longer and now beleive they in fact caused my rear brakes to fail and pout me in accident ....told me after replacing them and rotors ...get front ones done soon ....no cummunication or leadership only a pen pushing manager to make qouta ....5 people behind desk and no communication whatsoever ...I will jave ford look my car over top to bottom and choose firestone again as I always have ....just dobbs was closer to my new residence ...never again ...never never never ...firestone will balence n rotate my tire and dobbs can shove their lifetime brake shoes n lousey poor service n communication qhere sun doesnr shine .... Thank you again hearing or just reading my complaint n sweeping under rug ...Im certain these problems n neglect ..poor service exist all the way to top .......robert D

Perhaps you should consider having a second grade or higher education. It might afford you the ability to make a valid point rather than appear like a toddler who fell onto a keyboard.

They sold me too bad tires and keep saying that the tires are some good or not the tires or old tires by the number you look on the number to the number is 2001 so those tires 18 years old they sold me I would like some more better tires or refund

I bought some tires from Dobbs last year after 6 months I took them back for them to look at them and they said nothing was wrong with the tire I went to another store and they say the tires were worn in 6 months so I took them back to Dobbs and they're still saying nothing is wrong with the tires the tires are 4 years old and they sell them to me as they or brand new they don't want to honor the tires do not buy any tires from Dobbs I'm still trying to take care of the situation it's so sad that's why companies lose business they knew the tires were old when they sold them to me

I imagine some of your frustration comes from never being taught sentence structure or punctuation. Clearly your third grade teacher let you down, rather than you spending six school hours per day perfecting your spitball shooting technique.

It look like not good I used to buy tires from you

I've been complaining about these tires they're worn the two front one I bought them last year I complain about about a couple weeks ago they say they were good but they're worn I'm not happy about that I think the tires have been sitting in the warehouse for a while and they sold them to me I've been asking about these tires since the summer and then again about 2 weeks ago they told me they were gruet and they're not is that how your company does to your customers I'm not happy I need some new tires House of something happen with these tires you guys going to be in trouble I know you guys sell tires has been sitting for awhile so I would like my eyes replaced with no charge thank you very much

A couple suggestions: 1) Learn how to communicate in basic conversational English. 2) Don't go to Dobbs when there are hundreds of honest and competent options in St. Louis.

New tire mounting and tire balance nightmare

Took my car to get new tires on the back and also get them balanced , 2 new tires were $450 and another $80 to install and balance , picked my car up a few minutes before they closed and as soon as I left got a couple of miles down the highway and guess what my low pressure tire light came on , and it happens that one of the new $225 tire was on a flat all because they never changed the valve stem that is supposed to be changed with all new tire installs , this part probably cost around .50 cents and they didn’t change none of them, and here I am stuck on the road for almost 2 hours and late for work all thanks to the stupid employees at dobbs , I will never take my car there but Iam going to go back and give them a piece of my mind and also calling corporate on these sorry suckers and by the way it was the dobbs in Shiloh Illinois next to dierbergs , so beware of these cheap bastards trying to cut corners any way possible.

Another bad experience with Dobbs

Took my 2011 Chevy Cruze in because it lacked power ( had no other issues with vehicle). Replaced (2) sensors and corrected the issue but now I have a major coolant leak that I notice after bringing it home. Called the next morning and let the service manager know what’s going on and he said it was leaking when it arrived at the shop. 100% was not leaking when put in shop and never had one drop of coolant on the floor of my garage. This is not the first or second time I had things repaired by Dobbs and when brought home had different issues with it.

Maybe you should keep going to Dobbs. Alternatively you could consider going to any of hundreds of competent shops in the area.

Vehicle stolen using Dobbs in Fenton!

Dropped my car off on Friday at Dobbs in Fenton and they lost the paperwork and keys to my Dodge Durango. Called Saturday afternoon and they have no record of my car or the key. So dropped off a spare set they fixed the car and brought the vehicle home. But this morning the Durango was gone, clearly someone took the paperwork with my name, phone number and address along with the key from within Dobbs and stole my vehicle from my house! This is very concerning that Dobbs would be this irresponsible with my personal information and vehicle.

Can’t get right the 1st time

For the last 3 times I needed service on my truck I have had to return twice to repair what should correctly repaired the first time. A tire repair that they stripped the lug bolts, my truck had a steering problem they put new steering fluid in, two weeks later same problem required a part and a six hundred dollar repair.

The A/C was not cooling they said it needed two vacuum hoses, same problem six weeks later. Now they think it MIGHT be a 1300.00 repair.

Sometimes vehicles have fleas AND ticks ; when repairing, you start with the most likely, least hassle possibilities and work your way up from there. There's no excuse for not ultimately repairing it, but there may be more than one problem ... if there's one, there can easily be another ...

Dobbs on Mid Rivers

Went to Dobbs on Mid Rivers this weekend. Wanted to get a simple tire rotation and had a small leak in one of tires.

My car was there 8 hours. I went to pick it up and 1 of the tires was at 11 LBS. So I had to sit and wait for another 45 minutes. They came out and told me that there is an issue with the rim on one of the tires.

That will be $150-$200. Apparently they did nothing the first 8 hours they had my car. Awful service!! I usually get work done there.

Never going back.

I wish I could remember the manager that I was dealing with. Please take your vehicles some where else for better service.

Terrible service at a premium price

This place is terrible. We always go to meineke but our van is having issues and Dobbs is closer to our house. We took it to Dobbs Saturday morning at 730. We were told they were going to charge us 125 dollars just to look at it. My first and only mistake was agreeing to that. We were in a hurry to get it fixed because we needed it to drive to work on Monday. We waited all day for a call from them. No call. Finally at 530 I called them for an update. Justin answered the phone and said our ticket was sitting next to the phone but he wasn't sure why nobody had called. He said he was going to talk to mike who is the service manager on Monday but unfortunately he was gone for the day. Justin went on to tell me it was going to cost 900 dollars to fix the egr valve on the van. No chance in the world we were paying that. We drove over and got the van and took it to meineke. By the way not only did they not call us all day, make excuses, and try to charge us an astronomical amount....but they also never even apologized!!! There are plenty of auto repair shops near festus. My advice to you is avoid this one.

Waited for 3 hours to get my "FREE" road hazzard patch and "FREE" rotation. This is my first and last purchase from Dobbs Tire and Auto for my vehicles. I guess everything comes with a price and the price was my time.

I made an appointment an hour before I arrived for noon appointment. My car was ready at 3 PM. I don’t understand how they couldn’t have known that they would not get the car in at noon. Three hour wait is absolutely ridiculous. Don’t schedule appointments if you are not sure of the time. Most people do not have the luxury of killing a day off in the waiting room.
