they said it need ed front end work also when all was fine but i trusted bob well 3 days later the wheel bearings failed which they just packed also took it back and they was to busy to look at it so screw them like they did me worst shop ever never ever go here robbers why is this allowed they give mechanics a bad name and it is all legal but they support our teams like cardinals and blues but not customers there techs are always leaving probaly bad pay but the managers are all about the money can you spell comission

Dropped off car at noon for oil changed.Returned at 5pm and still not done.

That's one thing, apparently Dobbs oil changes much less efficient then all other places, but employee upset we came back before he called and then another employee disrespected me, putting me down and embarrassing me in front of other customers.I hope the thrill they got out of putting down a customer out weighs Dobbs losing one.

I took my car in for 2 new tires.By the time I got there the salesman Dale had increased the cost of the tires plus added extra things to be done.

I walk in the door to him asking me to sign the agreement paper. I went over it and got it at the original price I was quoted. Well during there 14 point free inspection the removed my air filter and didn't put it back. It was just sat on my engine without the lid.

It was literally just sitting on my engine.

I called and was told "Sorry" and that was it.When I explained it to Dale he seemed more worried about telling me that it was a free 14 point inspection.

Dobbs Tire And Auto Centers - Tires? Bought a tire, rotation, spare to use as second front tire

Bought a new front tire, rotated front tires to the back, instructed them to use second front tire as spare and move full-sized never-used spare to front.We did not think that we would need to instruct them to change the wheels between the spare and the new spare & had they bothered to call, we would have said "yes" that we wanted the wheels changed.

We picked up the truck last night, the spare was on the front with the wheel that it was on which is the spare wheel. The other tire with the wheel that we indicated that we wanted to use as the spare was put back where the spare should go but the wheel cover obviously would not fit so we found it in our cup holder in the cab of the truck. We should have gone back in and complained at the time but it was late and they were closing. Drove the truck home which is about 5 miles last night.

This morning on my way to work, the tire pressure light came on. Really? Did we have to tell them to inflate the tires properly?

Isn't that their business?Tire is in their name.

I didn't like: Integrity of the business.

FIRST I CALLED TO SEE IF THEY HAD A TIRE i NEEDED.jASON SAID YES.

WHEN I GOT THERE HE SOLD BOTH. i HAD TO GET A HIGHER AMT OF DOLLAR TIRE. THEN THEY FORGOT TO PUT BACK ON THE (H) THAT EMBLEM ON MY WHEEL. TIBURON.

i NOTICED IT WHEN I GOT HOME AND WAS LOOKING AT THE TIRE . i CALLED HIM BACK AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT TO BE FOUND. HE TOLD ME TO ORDER ANOTHER FROM DEALER AND HE WOULD REFUND THE MONEY WHEN i BROUGHT IT IN. NOW THAT i HAVE THE EMBLEM HE SAID IT WOULD TAKE TIME TO GET MY MONEY BACK HE HAD TO SEND IT AWAY TO COLLECT THE MONEY.

NOTHING WAS MENTIONED ABOUT RECOVERING MY MONEY LIKE THAT. i HAVE HAD MY CARE SINCE 2004 BRAND NEW AND NO ONE BUT DOBBS HAS TAKEN CARE OF IT. NOW THIS.

i AM SO DISSAPOINTED IN DOBBS IN WENTZVILLE MO.I WILL NOT RECOMMEND OR TAKE MY CAR THERE AGAIN.

Horrible, horrible service!!!!!Run away!!!

Far away. They never ever do as they say and once you walk in the door for a "sale" they are having, it quickly goes away and they want to tack on over and over to the bill. They lie constantly!!! Today's horrible service entailed this ...

was told the service we were having to our son's car (struts & shocks) would take 2-3 hours. We also were price quoting and they originally told us a price cheaper than another garage ... come to find out they did not quote the same quality and a much lesser quality to get our business. (Didn't find this out until they had started working on the car).

So we went out of our way to go get our son's car from his high school and get it here by 11:30 so it would be ready for him after school to be able to drive to his nightly commitments since we were told 2-3 hours. At about 3:30 my husband called to see if it was done and the manager, Ron, got very upset with him for calling and said "I told you I'd call when it was done" like my husband was a child or not intelligent. The manager, RON, began to talk down to my husband repeatedly, treated him horribly, and quite honestly the worst sales service we have ever experienced. It is appalling!!!!

We normally take our car to a different Dobbs and because of this horrible treatment and unethical practices, we will never come back to another Dobbs. Unethical ... finally at 7 pm when they finished, which I think they purposely delayed the finish on purpose. I had been sitting there waiting for it since 5:30.

After getting in a heated confrontation with the manager about his lack of professionalism and management skills, I go to pay and they added three items we did not agree or tell them to do. I finally got the car out of there after being there for 7 1/2 hours. They charged me $130 for labor when we went there for their "no labor charges in February" sale. One was a service we did not say ok to do so I got charged for the service and labor.

Not sure how they get away with this legally. So very unethical and beyond upsetting! I cannot begin to imagine what the owner would say had they seen this manager's actions and treatment to a customer in person. It was completely uncalled for and very, very unprofessional.

He is extremely arrogant as well. Such a turn off and horrible people person!!! Extremely nervous they did something bad to my son's car because of the big confrontation my husband got into with the "manager", RON, in charge of the Shiloh location. So I've been taking pictures of who is working on the car for future legal purposes if needed.

Undercover boss tv show and David Dobbs needs to come into this store!Terrible with a capital T.

My girlfriend's car kept stalling on the way to work, so she took it to Dobb's.I heard them telling her over the phone that they had to tear the "whole top of the engine off" because it was leaking coolant.

My girlfriend was upset because she wasn't about to put 1500 bucks into her old jalopy. She decided to get a second opinion from another mechanic and they did a tune up and fixed a vacuum leak for under 300 bucks. This mechanic even pressure tested for leak to disprove Dobb's phony diagnosis.

Two months later, the car is running perfectly!!Beware of Dobb's; they will take your money and rip you off!

I want to start off by saying I am very frequent customer of the Dobbs location in Shiloh, IL and I do not have enough good things to say about the people and the service at that location.Unfortunately for me that location was booked solid through the week and I was in great need of an oil change so I decided to try out the location in Fairview Heights, IL because I called them and they said they could get me in today.

So I dropped my car off for the $50 maxlife oil change, and gave them the number to reach me at when the car was ready for me to pick up. About an hour later I received a phone call from that Dobbs location telling me the oil change was done but that I really needed a new air filter which was $20 dollars, and that I also needed new brake rotors on my two back tires. In fact the rotors on my two back tires were so bad the metal was basically rubbing up against the tires they told me (Emphasizing the need for me to get new breaks). So I asked what it was going to cost and they told me it was $89.95 per rotor but that there was a special for $50 dollars off the break service.

So i figured $130 for the brakes $35 for the oil change because I had a coupon, and $20 dollars for the air filter. With it being the middle of winter I told them to go ahead and do everything and I figured they would take care of me like the Shiloh Dobbs location always does. Once everything was completed they called me back to tell me my car was done when I come into to see the bill for over $400 dollars!!! Oh, thats right when they called me to ask if I wanted them to go ahead with putting new breaks on my car, that i desperately needed, they forgot to mention that it was going to cost me $158 dollars in Labor!!

Not to mention the other $30 dollars they tacked to my bill for shop supplies and misc overhead! I have never felt like I have been played this hard in my entire life.

That Dobbs location clearly failed to mention they were going to double my bill by taking on $158 dollars in labor for less than 1 hour of work.Extremely disappointed and I would recommend to everyone to never ever go to the Dobbs location in Fairview Heights, IL!

I took my car to Dobbs in Ballwin for emissions and a safety inspection.I was told it would be a 90 minute wait.

After the wait, I was told my car failed the safety inspection for a right lower front ball joint which was "loose" or had to much give. I was told the repair would cost $500. I took the car to another mechanic and was told there was ZERO give in the ball joints.

I am a 32 year old female who does not appreciate being taken advange of and lied to by this company's employees.A call was placed to Dobbs and they refused to refund my money nor address the situation in any way.

I recently bought a set of tires at Dobbs in Cahokia il.I run over a nail in my rear right tire so i brought it to be repaired.

I checked the web sight to find out what time Dobbs Cahokia would open an it opens at 7:00am but the web says 7:30am. So i arrived there at about 7:35am. so I won't have to wait for my best convenience. I explaind i had a tire leak on my rear right tire to store manager Jim.

He told me i would have to wait at lease 30 minuites to be waited on. I asked him why. He told me he had no workers scheduled untill then. I asked him what time did the store open.

He said 7:00am. I explained to him that the reason for my coming as early as i did was to beat the crowd an cor my convenience. He told me he was not going to pay his workers to come in that early for my convenience because its too slow. Finally when his workers came to work an started on my vehicle,he came back in the lobby an told me i would have to pay a partial payment of $38.02 because there was a nail in the sidewall of the tire.

He allowed me to observe the tire and i did an i took a picture of it. I belive the tire could have been patched. Im not a certified tire specialist an dont want to void my warranty so i paid the fee. However i feel that even if the tire was beyond repair i shouldn't have had to come out of pocket because of my warranty, also because of my wait.

I didn't get out of the shop untill 9:00am.

I feel i should be reimbursed for the fee i paied if for nothing i were very well unconvinced and feel i was profiled.Thank You

My wife took her jeep to have the tires rotated at 7 am I follow her & pick her up. At 1045am later still not finish. I took her back to pick up the jeep. Will not go back and will not buy anymore tires from them.

Place is a complete joke. Workers are inexperienced. What kind of mechanic shop takes a car out for a 'test drive' before working on it!? And then claim they can't do anything for you because they don't want to put there name on it. STAY AWAY FROM DOBBS. They are money hungry and will upcharge out the *** for services which don't need to be done.
